Bob Tyrrell Having an incredible artist for a father, I grew up wanting to be an artist myself. I started playing guitar in my teens and gave up art completely to pursue a career in music. I spent the next fifteen years playing in heavy metal bands and working a factory job. I’d wanted to get tattooed for years and, just shy of turning 30, I got my first tattoo. Of course, I was hooked and got my sleeves and a full back piece done within a few years. During this time I got back into drawing and took a few art classes. Now it was time to learn how to tattoo! I took some drawings to Tramp, the owner of Eternal Tattoos, who are based in the Detroit area where I grew up. I was offered an apprenticeship, and within three months I had quit my job and was tattooing full time. I was 34 years old when I started — a little late in the game, but better late than never! Tom Renshaw was working there and took me under his wing. Tom went WAY out of his way to help me, he really pushed me those first couple of years. I learned more from him than anyone in the business, and I’ll be forever grateful to him and Tramp — I owe them a lot. I stayed at Eternal for six years. I am currently working on the road doing tattoo conventions and guest spots at tattoo shops. Check the on the road page for my schedule. So I guess I finally grew up and became an artist — my original plan as a kid. I think I found my true calling. I want to cut back on traveling a little so I can learn how to paint, do more fine art and tattoo more, but I just can’t stop! I’d like to thank all my friends who’ve helped me become a better artist. There’s way too many to name, but I’ll name a few: my father Robert J. Tyrrell, Paul Booth (still my biggest influence and favorite tattoo artist), Robert Hernandez (fucking amazing!), Guy Aitchison, Filip Leu, Shane O’Neill, Jack Rudy, Jay Wheeler, JimĂ© Litwalk, Joe Capobianco, Gunnar, everyone at Last Rites, Mario Barth, Shige, Brian Everett, Boris, Deano Cook, and a million other artists — you know who you are! Thanks for the never ending inspiration.

Teresa Sharpe – Born and raised in small town Indiana… I have been creating art as far back as i can remember. Art is truly my biggest passion in life in any form i can get it in. I went to college at Millikin University in Decatur IL and graduated with my BFA in 2007. Once graduated I immediately started looking into tattooing as a career. I have learned how to tattoo from many different artists and continue to learn all the time. While i have only been tattooing full time a few short years, I am extremely dedicated to my art and to constantly improving upon my skills.

Hailin Fu was the top Tattoo Artist in China for the last 2 decades. He owned several shops with his lovely wife Gloria (who also is an amazing artist, she specializes more in soft tattoos for women). His primary shop was in Jinan, China. Chinese Tattoo Master Hailin Tattoo moved with his family to the United States and is now permanently working at Hailin Tattoo in Hollywood CA. If you are looking for an Asian style of tattoo then this is a great opportunity for you. Hailin is at the top of the game in traditional/modern Chinese, and masculine warrior imagery, or Buddhist symbolism.

Kelly Doty – I began my apprenticeship in 2007 at Turnpike Tattoo in Meriden, CT under Coniah Timm, and started tattooing professionally in 2009. At the end of 2009 I moved to Off the Map Tattoo in Easthampton, MA. I got to work with some of the best artists in the world while I was there, as well as an amazing staff. I moved down to Atlanta GA in August 2012 to work at Ink & Dagger Tattoo where I once again get to work with absolutely incredible artists and staff on a daily basis. I specialize in spooky color work. I also spend a lot of time drawing absolutely idiotic animals and that’s very fun too. When I’m not tattooing or working on tattoos, I’m not awake. I am currently a Full time Tattoo artist at Studio 13 Tattoo in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Boog Star — is a worldwide traveler gaining exposure and respect for the street influenced style
of tattooing. He currently owns and operates http://www.boutthatlifedesigns.com, which specializes in t-shirt designs to represent the individual. His motto: “Stay up or stay at home!”
